Terrible VAT Refund Experience – Avoid Leroy Merlin if You’re an International Customer I had an absolutely frustrating and disappointing experience with Leroy Merlin regarding the VAT refund process. When I first made my purchase at a Leroy Merlin store, I asked for the VAT refund document. The employee assisting me said she didn’t know how to issue it and told me to apply through the Leroy Merlin website instead. Trusting her information, I left the store without the document. Once back home, I followed the process online and submitted a request through their website. However, I received no response. Since I was traveling back to France, I decided to visit a Leroy Merlin store in person to resolve the issue. Upon arriving at the store, I explained the situation to an employee, who spent a long time trying to figure out how to process the refund. After all that time, she finally said she couldn’t do it because she needed a password, and the only person with the password wasn’t working that day. Worse yet, she said that person would only return on Friday—the same day I was flying back to Brazil. Despite my frustration and complaints, there was nothing they could do, leaving me with a financial loss. Determined to resolve the issue, I went to another Leroy Merlin store in Paris, where the manager suggested I go to the Madeleine location, assuring me they could process the refund there. Although this was yet another inconvenience, I went to Madeleine, only to be told, once again, that they couldn’t help me. They said the VAT refund could only be processed at the original store where I made the purchase—900 km away from Paris—even though I was leaving the next day. The employee at Madeleine offered a completely absurd solution: I would have to bring all the purchased items back to the store, return them, and then buy them again so that she could issue the VAT refund document. This was completely unreasonable and showed a total lack of customer service and respect for international customers. In the end, Leroy Merlin’s incompetence and inconsistent information cost me my VAT refund. Their process is a nightmare, their employees are unprepared, and their customer service is non-existent. If you’re an international customer who expects to get a VAT refund, do not shop at Leroy Merlin—you will only waste your time and money.

This is one of the posher DIY centers It does have everything although a little bit on the expensive side .unless you are buying bathrooms .kitchens etc everything else paint wall paper .garden equipment .furniture .its all there in one giant shop
